Chandels of bundelkhand had nothing to do with Rajput so called chandel clan. Holywarrior 08:16, 13 May 2006 (UTC) To whosoever is pushing his POv---Plz cite reasons for any inclusions or omissions.Chandelas had nothing to do with any Rajputra. Holywarrior 05:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC) . Chandels are also knows as chandu. Chandela clan is one of the main Chandravanshi Rajput clan. -- Schandel 05:26, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
May be there are other Chandels but this article is not about those people. If you are so concerned about it then put the link in ambiguous and thats about it. This article is about "Chandels" who built Khajuraho and they were definitely Rajputs. They were my forefathers and I can not let them be dishonored like that. Rajputs by definitions are "sons of rulers" and please bring forth the evidence which proves that they did not consider them "Rajputs". Otherwise stop vandalizing. Thank god you can't vandalize the Encyclopedia Britannica. Read on if you can afford it.

---It is interesting to see views on whether Chandels ( Chandelas) were Rajputs or not! Hey, I can tell you for sure that the Chandels ( Chandelas) were Rajputs as I too am a Chandel and am a Rajput (sorry, no casteism here) and am one of the proud bearers of the legacy of the Chandel ( Chandela) dynasty which built the world famous Khajuraho temple! ---- Anju Chandel
This needs to be split up into sections, or have some of the less (not) notable content removed. I know nothing about it, so I'm afraid I can't help too much – the length makes it a daunting task — alex.muller ( talk • edits) 19:33, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Chandelas of Jejakabhukti's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
