You may find this subpage of mine helpful: User:White Arabian Filly/Editing horse articles. It shows the formula we use. You can also look at the Kiger Mustang article to get an idea of the way we like to do things. It's reached Good Article status, meaning it's been reviewed and approved by experienced editors as being neutral, informative and clear. Cheers! Thanks guys, you guys are already helping me so much! Horsegeek ( talk) 23:04, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Horsegeek
So, is there ways to make already graded articles good articles?

We don't need multiple sources to verify a single fact, and some cites didn't verify what the article claimed, so where that happened, I tossed the material or kept the best one and am parking the others here in case they are handy for something else. See WP:RS for general guidelines, but I'd be happy to answer question here too. Montanabw (talk) 08:48, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
(Horse-genetics.com is a good site for getting an overview, but for a footnote, citations to the actual underlying studies are better, can be used, but doesn't quite meet WP:SCIRS )
(This site is sometimes useful, but has a advocacy slant, so again, it's better to find a more scholarly source to back up claims made here when possible)
(OK source for alternate name, but otherwise material is covered in existing sources)
(With a few exceptions, we can't use blogs as a source on wikipedia)
The material on transferrin failed verification; transferrin is defined here. It is not something rare or unique. Cothran may have a study saying these horses have something different about their transferrin, but I haven't found it yet. Montanabw (talk) 08:57, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
These are often good sources for a general overview, though sometimes they have errors and should not be viewed as gospel.
There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Pryor Mountain Mustang which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. — RMCD bot 05:47, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
