"Periphrasis"

A mistaken edit in 2009 changed the meaning of a sentence and created a new word sense on the internet.

Before:

The cathetus is far more frequently known as a "leg" of the right triangle, or by the periphrasis "side about the right angle".

After:

It is called occasionally called the periphrasis ("side about the right angle").

I reverted to the original version. This talk entry is for the benefit of future readers who wonder where the bogus sense of 'periphrasis' came from. Heron ( talk) 09:22, 21 July 2015 (UTC) reply
