Dutch Wikipedia says, "Het Kasteel de Goede Hoop is een fort in de Zuid-Afrikaanse stad Kaapstad. Het werd tussen 1666 en 1679 in opdracht van de VOC gebouwd en is daarmee, na Rustenburg (1658), het oudste nog bestaande Europese bouwwerk in Zuid-Afrika." I assume they are talking about the house in the suburb of Rondebosch in Cape Town but they give no reference for this. Anyway, is the present day Rustenburg House the original house or a later construction? In its present condition, it certainly doesn't look older than the Castle.
