Why not just call them producers? - no-one in the world of modern electronic music talks about 'bands' they either say producers or DJ's dependent on what the act is made up of. "Band' sounds old-fashioned and kind of like something someone who doesn't know about these things but was trying to be "down with the youth" would say when getting it all wrong. Band tends to relate to rock or jazz music more than electronic or hiphop acts.
To use the word 'band' about acts like this just sounds ridiculous.
