Cashmere should appear in the first fews of the lead sentence, not at the very end. Manderiko 16:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
There is a common habit in WP of adding translations of a place name at the start of an article, which was done here today and removed by me. The guidelines (sorry I cannot find a link) are clear - add a foreign name if that name appears in a significantly large number of English language sources. NOT, because the topic has a connection of sorts with a foreign language. The Maori name added does not appear in a sizeable number of reliable English sources. In fact it is not a translation of Cashmere suburb in any case. A valid use of a foreign name is, eg, The River Plate, (Spanish - Rio de la Plata), because the Spanish term is very often used in English sources, perhaps today more commonly than River Plate.
