Most of the race info has nothign to do with Casey Stoner. It doesn't matter for a Stoenr profile whether Rossi, Capirossi, Hayden or whoever wins a race. The only noteworthy one might be Pedrosa, winnning ebfore his fellow rookie. -- MartinUK 14:06, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah I have to agree, most of this info should live on a general motoGP race reports page. --puppeteer
Well, until then, I've organised the numerous race reports that were piling up within a new 2007 season section. -- Weiteck 20:20, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
The personal life stuff is badly cited. Nothing says they didn't start dating until she was 16, and nothing says she is Slovakian; one link says she was at school in Australia when they met. -- MartinUK 16:42, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
This article should be protected from this Hope1001 chap: he keeps changing things to referencing ballroom dancing and
Bruce Forsyth, which is rather weird.--

And the ballroom dancing reference is probably implicit association of Stoner to ballerina (only makes sense if you follow MotoGP) 132.203.164.72 ( talk) 20:06, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
There is nothing in this article about how Stoner is the greatest man in all motor cycling, or all of human existence for that matter. I demand that this be included in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.106.113.63 ( talk) 12:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
There is just far too much information, most of which really isn't needed. There's a whole page on the season at 2007_Grand_Prix_motorcycle_racing_season. Can we really justify a race by race account of every year of his career? That just isn't reasonable. I suggest that the whole section be removed and a sensible length summary replace it. I'm happy to do this in a week or so to allow some discussion here. Let me know what you think! Ged UK ( talk) 16:31, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
However, successive crashes while fighting for the lead at Laguna Seca (where he remounted to finish second to Valentino Rossi), Brno and Misano ensured that he could not defend the title successfully.
I think it's more fair and objective to say he didn't won the title that year because of Rossi's dominance rather than just because of his crashes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.50.42.3 ( talk) 07:53, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
This needs a source. Having an English last name is not enough - English people first went to Australia 200 years ago, and probably 3/4 of all white Australians have some level of English blood. He would need (evidence of) either an English grandparent or two English great-grandparents to pass as an Australian of English descent under Wikipedia rules.-- MartinUK ( talk) 12:17, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
"In 2008, Stoner was named Young Australian of the Year as well as Nickelodeon´s Australian Kids Choice Awards." On searching for the award's year and actual name (e.g. "best male athlete" most probably, instead of just the award show's name) I found this statement blatanlty copy-pasted on website after website, a pretty entertaining experiment in websites with zero proofreading, some of which newspaper sites. Unless Casey Stoner is an award show, the last part of that statement should be removed until someone finds out which award he won, and when. CHawc ( talk) 13:31, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
We've yet to see if Stoner will actually take the #1 bike for 2012 (Although he is obviously entitled to it). Hence we're keeping his bike # at 27 until we know for sure. also the team name is "Repsol Honda', not "Repsol Honda Team". Manning ( talk) 03:54, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
I've taken the liberty of removing an unsourced statement from an anonymous user (IP 211.31.200.8) stating that "So far Stoner has been a bit of a failure in V8 supercars." Opinion on his performances to date are all well and good, but as an encyclopedic article if it's not backed up by a source then it shouldn't be in here. Them's the rules. Happy for sourced reaction to his season to be in but I think that should be the limit. WelshDaveRyan ( talk) 13:18, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

The first paragraphs of his early career that are based on the motorcycles USA source need to be totally deleted because that was never a reliable source and has been gone for years. So that's what I'm going to do. Motorcycles USA was an online motorcycle magazine that even when it existed would not have been considered a reliable source.so what I'm saying is those paragraphs need to be completely removed. I can find no other source that comes closed to verifying those extraordinary claims. Some of the things described in it are physical impossibilities. 70 state titles in eight years. how do you average more than eight state titles per year in a country that only has six States?Just read it and tell me you think that stuff was possible. This smacks of fanatic idolatry.I'm hoping to find consensus here on accurately describing his early career. I've researched and can't find anything reliable. The extraordinary claims made in the beginning were sourced by an article that did have a byline but did not say what was put on the Wikipedia article. The only place those extraordinary claims are made is in the Rider bio that has no authorship.
