Don't think I have a personal opinion either way. Since I discovered that categories can be placed on redirects, a lot of my objections to merging have vanished. -

I separated out the release from the group's entry - and added separate Wikidata item for the release. Not sure if this was a one-off record project, but the co-mingling bothered me enough to do it. Hope they do do another record.
