i understand it lists a city limits population of 5,283 people but this town is a major settlemnt in the cape incription and shark bay region of western australia certainly there must be suburban or metropolitan population surrounding this settlement. the Shire of Carnivon LGA could be considered its metropolitan area. 99.164.52.125 ( talk) 19:22, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Carnarvon seems to be a cross-roads town, but still small enough to guarantee some quiet way of living.
- Is there any public - non-religious - secondary school - Also, what is the future of this town ? Is the population growing ? - Is it South enough not to be hit by hurricanes ? - Lots of sharks or very few ? |

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Carnarvon, Western Australia's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
