Carlile Formation → Carlile Shale – Although Carlile Formation is sometimes used by some scientists, Carlile Shale is by the far more prominent usage for the geological formation. It is what the USGS, state Geological Surveys, and most scientific publications use. It should be noted that most search engine-driven results may put more perceived relevancy for Carlile Formation because that is what this article is currently named as.
