English-only announcements controversy
From my understanding, after platform 5 opened they realised that the announcements were too frequent in both Welsh and English for the then-single zone PA system, so they had to temporarily "turn off" Welsh (which didn't go un-noticed) until the PA system was converted to multi-zone.
