Bad grammar. This section needs to be rewritten, I've no idea what it's trying to say.

Mis-named accessory ?

Re: The statue features Captain Mainwaring sitting to attention on a simple bench in Home Guard uniform, with his pace stick across his knees.

Isn't it a " Swagger stick" and not a " Pace stick"? Paul Hutchinson ( talk) 18:37, 26 January 2011 (UTC) reply

Yes, you're right. A pace stick is carried by a drill instructor when measuring the length of a pace. I've just amended the wording. Mikeo1938 ( talk) 22:36, 26 January 2011 (UTC) reply

Photo - do you really think that's wise?

The photo used here seems misleading. A newcomer might think that Mainwaring is usually got up like that! If there's going to be a photo, surely one of him in uniform, or at least in his bank clothes, would be better? 86.130.99.187 ( talk) 01:35, 1 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Yes, you're right - I think that's an image from the awful feature film. Will have a look around to see if a more appropriate image can be found. Bob talk 13:14, 1 February 2011 (UTC) reply
