The gnis plug puts CC Heights on the north-east side of the 215/60 freeway in the University Neighborhood. Actually in the UCR area. To the north-east of Watkins Drive is a housing area which may have been CC Heights, but I don't have RS for that. Actually, the "Canyon Crest" neighborhood of Riverside lies entirely south-west of the 215/60. (See:
[1].) To my knowledge it has never been called CC Heights -- but, again, I don't have RS. In any event, it is improper to say CC Heights was or is called Canyon Crest as these are two distinctive areas.--
