The article currently has a political map of the three prairie provinces. But this article is on the geological area, not the political area. And the map should reflect that. -- Geo Swan 23:21, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
There do not appear to be any references credited for the production of this article. Is this an oversight? ( Stormbay 03:27, 10 March 2006 (UTC))
I think adding the geological history of the plains would be beneficial. I don't know it at all, just thought it would add something to the article that most other canadian geographical areas' articles have. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.238.92.179 ( talk) 03:39, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to start a history section here to combine some of the duplication that has shown up on History of Alberta, History of Saskatchewan, and History of Manitoba. I want to cover everything that happened before those provinces cam into being (in a general sense) and leave the specifics up to those individial artcles, as well as Rupert's Land, North-Western Territory, and History of Northwest Territories. Hopefully we will cover the topic well enough that it can eventually be split off into its own article called History of the Canadian Northwest or something similar. As a European, I am unfamiliar with what a Canadian Prairie looks like. This article would benefit greatly from a photo of a prairie that typifies the subject please, if such a thing is possible. Thanks. Andrew Oakley ( talk) 15:08, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
"The region known as Palliser's Triangle, also classified as the Prairies ecozone, is so arid that farming has never been successful there without government help and irrigation."
What's all this about? No Citation either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.161.213.7 ( talk) 07:46, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
The census metropolitan areas in the Canadian Prairies chart has a picture of both Edmonton & Calgary but not of Winnipeg nor Saskatoon. I have added Winnipeg and Saskatoon skyline pictures but they should probably be in the chart as Edmonton and Calgary already are. I don't know how to so if someone who knows how to add them then that would be great.

Notwithstanding, looking at the template, it doesn't appear there is much room to add more photos beyond the existing two. I also notice this article is the only location in which this template is in use. Makes me think that a table embedded within the article would better than having a separate template for use only on this article.
I'm going to experiment with the template for now by removing the Calgary and Edmonton photos. Afterwards, I may create a table within this article to replace the template and then nominate the template for deletion. Hwy43 ( talk) 04:33, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Added Grand Prairie for data about the Peace River Country and, have added the average Growing season from 1981-2010 Canadian Climate Normals. To easily access them View Data Graph>Display all data. Kyle 1278 01:05, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Unless there is a source that can be added with regard to prairie in British Columbia I will remove this from the lead as it is misrepresenting boreal plains as a prairie biome. I could be wrong but unless a source is added I do not believe the statement to be true. Krazytea( talk) 05:46, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

This article in some places writes "prairie provinces" with lower-case initials and in some others, "Prairie Provinces" with capitals. Shouldn't something be decided? 2601:449:8302:1080:0:0:0:AB7C ( talk) 21:34, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
