I went to Canada Jam! It was fantastic! We took the GO train there the night before and brought sleeping bags to camp out at the gate to hopefully get a good spot the next morning. I guess a lot of people had the same idea. Around 12:00 midnight, we were all let in and allowed to make our way to the stage. Don't remember sleeping a lot, too excited about the whole experience. Did remember getting up the next morning and it being a little chilly. Looked all around and saw tens of thousands of people already, more must have come during the night. I was 18. It was a beautiful weekend weather wise and all the music was unbelievable. Couldn't believe I was 10 feet away from the Doobie Brothers and Michael MacDonald. The ground vibrated when Village People sang Macho Man and Triumph's light show was out of this world! Got a sun burn but to this day, it was the best concert I ever attended. Everyone was so friendly. Thanks for the memories!!! Jennifer MacMillan (lived and worked in Toronto at the time)----
