Relation between Cambridge Ring and Pierce Loop networks

I just added a paragraph (with citations) that notes the strong parallel between the Cambridge Ring and the earlier Pierce Loop network at Bell Labs. When I came to Bell Labs in 1973, the Pierce Loop network connected what we would later describe as 3 workstations and a server -- that is to say, it was not just a research project, it had users. I've put a small writeup on my memory of that system on the web; if someone thinks it's worth citing in the article, feel free to do so. Douglas W. Jones ( talk) 20:47, 27 May 2022 (UTC) reply
