This species is recognised as Caladenia alpina by both the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney [1] and the Royal Botanic Garden Victoria. [2] Gderrin ( talk)
Confusingly, in New Zealand the species is known as C. lyallii, although the New Zealand Plant Conservation Network notes that some authorities recognise both as separate species. [3] David L. Jones recognises C. alpina as a Tasmanian species and C. lyallii as a New Zealand endemic. [4] Gderrin ( talk) 00:02, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
