This article is distinct from the article Helper/suppressor ratio because even though both refer to the CD4:CD8 ratio, the Helper/suppressor ratio describes CD8 suppressor cells rather than as cytotoxic T cells. Suppressor CD8+ T-cells are distinct from cytotoxic T cells "A tale of two T cells: suppressor CD8 T cells recalled to life". The most common reference to the CD4:CD8 ratio is where CD8 cells are cytotoxic (see the references to this page). A merger would be inappropriate, and I even think that the Helper/suppressor ratio article should be removed. -- Ben Best: Talk 16:07, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
