I don't understand this article. It is too technical for me since I have no background in medicine or biochemistry. I'm looking up CD4 because I have a drawing that shows the normal relationship of sickness to your body is like a rainstorm on a house, that CD4 is like the wooden supports of the house, and that HIV is like termites attacking the wood. Could someone simplify this article to help the general public understand the role and importance of CD4 (and maybe why it's like the wooden supports of a house)? In the meantime, I'll see if it's any simpler in other languages.
