"Blue woods" (Zili meži) this is not a term from forestry. This is a poetic trope, as in Zili meži, zaļi meži, Zelta caune ozolā!... (Blue woods, green woods, golden marten in a oak!...). It has specific poetic associations in Latvian culture, but I am not sure about English. It is funny how this expression was brainlessly duplicated over internet.
