Article statement not logical in terms of stated dates

The article stated that Buxted railway station was not opened until 3rd August 1868 by the Brighton, Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells Railway yet it then makes a claim that the station became part of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway in 1859, as this was nine years earlier than the stated opening. One of those two dates must be incorrect as there is no logic in what the article currently states.
