Do we necessarily want this in Category:New York City Subway? It hasn't been around since 1923, which is why it's in Category:New York City Subway history; that seems like enough. -- SPUI ( talk) 23:51, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)
According to "1914 Moody's Manual: Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company" (PDF).:
It also says that it acquired 88% of the Coney Island and Brooklyn Railroad through the CI&G after December 26, 1913. -- NE2 18:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
According to The Fitch Bond Book, Describing the Most Important Bond Issues of the United States and Canada, 1922, pages 171 to 172:

I have merged in a section of pre-history from Brooklyn–Manhattan Transit Corporation that relates to this period with [ this edit and have removed it from the other article with this one.
