British occupation of the Faroe Islands in World War II →
British occupation of the Faroe Islands — Per the above comments. The part of the title that reads in World War II is redundant, as the Faroe Islands have only once been occupied by Britain.

It should include who was head of government during this time. Was it the consul or a Faroese? Vanguard10 ( talk) 04:16, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

What date is classed as Liberation Day, I heard a historian from the Faroes say they celebrate that date rather than the more usual 1945 date for the end of WWII. He also said that the Royal Navy wanted Faroese vessels to be clearly identified after the occupation. The Danes opposed the use of the Faroes flag on the local Faroese vessels, eventually the local RN commander just told them to paint the Faroes flag on the side which made him very popular on the islands. jmb ( talk)
