How can it be "British Rail"?

British Railways rebranded itself as British Rail in the mid-1960s.

Yes, but it is somewhat arbitrary to determine the names of articles based on whether or not BR had yet rebranded itself at the time that the last loco was withdrawn. So it's easiest to use "British Rail" consistently. -- Redrose64 🌹 ( talk) 19:03, 14 November 2018 (UTC) reply
