As the author of the BCMJ historical content posted on www.bcmj.org, I have sent permission to Wikipedia to allow this content to be posted on the article page for the British Columbia Medical Journal, and edited by Wikipedia users. Tara Lyon Editorial Assistant BC Medical Journal
Okay, I've made edits and changed the wording of the content so it should no longer match content on www.bcmj.org. I've also changed my username (as somebody advised me at some point on my bcmedicaljournal account) to tarakathleen. I couldn't figure out how to change the username on the account, so I made a new account (per one recommendation on the help page). The new account is not a "sock puppet" (as someone else suggested). I hope these changes bring the article into compliance, and that the speedy removal warning can be taken down soon. Please let me know if there are any other issues. I think the speedy deletion notice can be taken down now, so I'll do so. The writing probably needs a few more thorough revisions, but I'm sure the author will do that. I'll also help with some of the revisions. -- Rabid Monkeys Eat Grass 23:33, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Looks much better, as I can appreciate you desire to contribute, I would suggest you give WP:COI a read over. Once we add some categories and projects you may find some more help. - Mcmatter ( talk| contrib) 00:12, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
I added the template {{ infobox journal}} to the article I filled what info I could pull from the article, but it could use some more. - Mcmatter ( talk| contrib) 18:43, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the info box and the advice. I'll look at what additional information I can add to the info box. I tried hard to maintain a neutral tone--I did read the conflict of interest page before getting started, and did my best to follow the guidelines. I have to say, I never knew there'd be so much to read and know about Wikipedia when I started this project. T. Tarakathleen ( talk) 02:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Davewild: The official publication name of the journal is the British Columbia Medical Journal. The publication name on the header of the print publication is an abbreviation for design purposes. T. Tarakathleen ( talk) 17:44, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Davewild: Can you please change the name on the article back to British Columbia Medical Journal and fix the redirects? I can't seem to change the title. Thanks... T. Tarakathleen ( talk) 17:51, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
