Much of the rewrite of this article comes from one researcher ( User:Duncan R Slater) and is based upon research he and a second researcher published. While that article was properly vetted before being published, it still seems to runs contrary to the WP policy of no original research. I toned down his uncomplimentary comments about Shigo, based on there being at least one critical journal response to Slater's research, with that reference being added.
