Umm... I have no idea, maybe someone can confirm or deny, but is Brad Raymond Gushue related to Raymond Gushue?
Team Gushue does not curl out of the Corner Brook Curling Club. They only had to do that to qualify for the Provincial Tankard in Gander because their own club the ReMax Centre (formerly the St. John's Curling Club) had their playdowns when Team Gushue were away at a tournament in Winnipeg. Team Gushue still curls out of the ReMax Centre. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by NewfieIdol ( talk • contribs) 16:32, 11 April 2007 (UTC).

Referring to the 2006 Winter Olympics, the article says: "With his teammates, Gushue became the first Newfoundlander ever to win an Olympic gold medal."
Someone has just posted to the Entertainment Reference Desk (it should have been here, but never mind) to say that that description belongs to Harry Watson, who won one in hockey in 1924. However, although Watson was born in Newfoundland, he had moved to Canada and was playing for the Canadian team when he won. (Of course Newfoundland was not part of Canada then.) Should "Newfoundlander" be understood as someone born there, or someone resident there? Would the sentence be correct if it was changed to "Newfoundland resident"? -- 76.71.6.254 ( talk) 07:36, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
