Hey I created this article, and I enjoy the game alot but I am not advertising, I make no profit off the game at all. What could I do to make this article less advertisement like?? --

I disagree with deletion of this article. The game is notable enough, for example it can be found on
BoardGameGeek. However I will remove the following text from the article, it really reads as an advertisement: ...an award winning international favorite.

I also removed the following text: ...The small amount of occupiable squares relative to the number of players, the spawning system, and the number of players ensures that the game combines fast pace, luck, persuasion, and trickery into the standard skill and thought of traditional chess.' and replaced words like unique. Hopefully now the article doesn't read like advertisement.

Thanks, this article looks great now, sorry if it read like an advertisement I guess my enthusiasm for the game bubbled through! --

I am not sure, Bosworth Battlefield Chess may be its official title, or Battlefield Chess is its subtitle. Though I think since it may be in reference to Bosworth Battlefield that that may be its title. --

Can someone explain to me the notability of this game ? I understand there is an internet site that talks about it, but that does not sound enough to be notable. Moreover, the notability should be clear from the text in the article, and for the moment it is not.

Thanks for these informations. I have looked at the awards: the first one is given to 100 games every year (which would mean 2000 games on twenty years), so it does not seem to infer notability (in the sense "being worth an article in Wikipedia", of course), the second one is just a parental approval (does not sound a real award) and the third one I just can't read. The links given are specialised reviews which do not seem enough for notability.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against this game but I know there are tens of thousands of chess variants, so I would like to avoid all of them having an article on Wikipedia. Do we know how many copies of this game have been sold ? Are there contests or competitions, official or not ? How many books have been written on this game ?
