What is the basis for stating that the football team was National Champions in 1940?
I propose changing the name of this page to Boston College Eagles. Any comments? -- Bleupelouse 06:22, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Should there be a mention of the fire in the BC-Holy Cross rivalry section? Paul C/ T + 08:37, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure when it was suggested, but the football does really needed to be split to its own article. It is getting too long for this page and they are a rather prominent team so should have their own page. If there are no objections, I'll do this soon (or whoever suggested it can do it) Phydend 15:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
To my knowledge, BC has NO "affiliation" with the Catholic church (unlike, say, Notre Dame). In the past 15 years, some right-wing Catholics in the BC Administration have called it a "Catholic" school. I graduated in 1974, and it wasn't a "Catholic" school then. The phrase should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.74.143.190 ( talk) 06:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
