A fact from Border Violence Monitoring Network appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 23 October 2021 (

Did you know... that in 2020, Border Violence Monitoring Network published the Black Book of Pushbacks documenting human rights violations against 12,654 migrants traveling on the Balkan route?
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as

ALT1:... that in 2020, Border Violence Monitoring Network published the Black Book of Pushbacks documenting human rights violations against 12,654 migrants traveling on the Balkan route? Source: "Compiled by the watchdog organisation Border Violence Monitoring Network (BVMN), the Black Book of Pushbacks is a collection of 892 group testimonies, detailing the experiences of 12,654 victims of human rights violations along the Balkan migration route, one of the most gruelling in the recent migrant crisis given the alleged violence of border police officers."

The article is long enough and new enough. I assume good faith on the German reference. A QPQ has been completed. There are only two issues. ALT1 needs a direct citation after the sentence ending with "in the European Parliament". The third reference has a title error.
