The trials that E. Brillié attended were in October 1914. They were held to evaluate the Holt as a potential artillery tractor. The trials of the Holt in 1915 were held at the suggestion of Ernest Swinton, to investigate the possibility of converting it to a fighting vehicle. Brillié was not present at the latter trial.
