Is he still alive? If not, past tense should be used. "Bobby Short was..." Unclear whether he's still around. Moncrief 07:31, Apr 7, 2004 (UTC)
Bobby Short is definitely dead. Here's the link to his New York Times obituary. http://select.nytimes.com/search/restricted/article?res=F10914FF34580C718EDDAA0894DD404482 Marc Acito, March 3, 2007 Marc Acito 05:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
I was in New York the day that Bobby Short and John Delorean died, so I knew he was dead... can anyone add information about his personal life? A mutual friend has told me that he had a villa in the south of France and had a very active social life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.32.145.152 ( talk) 06:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I agree that there should be more biographical information about his personal life. For instance, his long-time bi-racial relationship with blue-blood heir and fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt in New York City is historically significant. Scottnajima ( talk) 23:58, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Wasn't Bobby Short gay? Is that fact not of historical significance? Must he remain in the closet after death as well? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.188.113.157 ( talk) 18:38, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

Well, the bulk of it has clearly been cribbed from somewhere (the NYT obituary?). The tone is far from neutral. -- JustDerek ( talk) 17:34, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Wasn't there some manner of long term companionship between Short and Vanderbilt? PurpleChez ( talk) 15:44, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
