Considering that the 15th century is usually the late cutoff date for the middle ages, I surmise the author ment something else?
To my knowledge, boar spears only became popular from the 15th century through to around the 18th.

I have removed the paragraph (already tagged as dubious) regarding the popularity of boar spears for use in combat and their alleged advantages. I agree that this is dubious and no citation has been offered, nor can I find any source substantiating these claims. Cloudspert ( talk) 00:39, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
