Does anyone know if the Botha was named after Louis Botha, as the name does not fit in with the normal Air Ministry naming scheme?
... never mind, I suspect it was named after Frederich Botha, who explored South Africa in 1678. Land-based General Reconnaissance aircraft were named after explorers, e.g., Anson, Beaufort, Hudson, Shackleton, etc..— Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.55.42 ( talk) 10:23, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
<quote>Brough built 382 aircraft and Dumbarton 200, a total of 580.</quote> Even if Brexit is expected to change many things, I dare hope mathematics are unaffected :) ? Jan olieslagers ( talk) 10:13, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
