The article says that the black throated loon is a vagrant to Pakistan. While it would certainly be a vagrant if one were found in Pakistan, there needs to be a source validating this baseless claim. — Preceding

Rasmussen and Anderton (2005) The Ripley Guide - notes a record from Ambala in Indian Punjab. The article certainly needs to be improved.

No, the name should either be Black-throated diver or Arctic Loon. However, the IOC use Black-throated loon and for bird names Wikipedia follows the IOC. As this species is predominantly Eurasian and marginally North American, Arctic Loon should not be used.
