Birtha (Osrhoene) – The old name was based on the mistaken information in an 1845 source unanimously contradicted by more modern sources. Both sides are represented in the present provisional text, which will have to be rewritten in harmony with the proposed new title. A simpler remedy would perhaps be to merge this article into that on
Birecik. Relisted.
