The following is an archived discussion concerning a merge proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
I propose that
Willy Fetzer be merged into
Bill Fetzer. I have discovered that the content in the Willy Fetzer article refers to the exact same person as Bill Fetzer. Sources that show they are the same person can be found
here and
here. The reason I propose Willy be merged into Bill is because he is more commonly known by Bill, since his career as a college coach in various sports know him as such. His one-game professional career is not what he's most remembered for.

Support - I agree with both the proposed merge and the direction; a redirect should be left in place from "Willy Fetzer".

Question - Since both infoboxes contain important information which would otherwise be undesirable in prose or content format, how would we integrate the MLB Player infobox?

Actually, I rescind my question. Since he only played one game, and the rest of the info is DOB/DOD and position (etc), it shouldn't be too hard to integrate. I am awaiting an admin to merge the histories before we can take the next step in combining content.
