'Repealed' wording okay for IPC?

this edit by @ Sree1959 seem to introduce wording repealed for IPC. From this news IPC is likely to remain in force on old cases.

  • .. Twenty new offences have been added to the BNS. Nineteen provisions in the repealed IPC have also been dropped. ..

This reference used by User:Sree1959 seem to use wording replaced not repealed. IMO some one who knows nuances need to look into the same. Bookku ( talk) 16:43, 12 June 2024 (UTC) reply

"Replace" is the correct term since pending cases will still be tried under IPC. — hako9 ( talk) 15:55, 21 June 2024 (UTC) reply

  • Comment: Looking over other articles in Category:Law of India and its subcategories, it appears that the year is occasionally included in the titles of articles about Indian laws, but that it is frequently omitted. To that end, there are two questions I find myself with. (1) Is there a regular pattern dictating whether Indian law article titles include the year or not? If so, what is the pattern? (2) If there are criteria that must be met for us to prefer one style or the other, does this article meet those criteria? ModernDayTrilobite ( talkcontribs) 18:41, 25 July 2024 (UTC) reply
Agreed. This needs a broader discussion for all the pages in this category. SerChevalerie ( talk) 10:03, 29 July 2024 (UTC) reply
