The article states that Betty White is the only woman to have won Emmys in all the comedic categories. That was true - until 2021 when Jean Smart accomplished the same. It would still be accurate to say Betty White was the first woman to accomplish this.

Would it be beneficial to add that she died eighteen days prior to her 100th birthday? Thanks. Cheaha Summit ( talk) 00:07, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Requesting that Betty's name in the introductory sentence be changed to "Betty Marion Ludden" (née White;...), as that was her legal name at her time of death according to her death certificate (reference 127).

Change 'thet' to 'the' in " (the first of thet name running a quarter century earlier) " Maerin8 ( talk) 18:58, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
Betty White's television career actually spanned 10 decades, not "almost 7". To span a decade, you need only be active at any time during that decade, so a person who started in 1997 and retired in 2012 would have had a career spanning 3 decades. This is why Nolan Ryan is said to have had a career spanning 4 decades (1966-1992). Thus Betty White, who first performed on television in 1939, and last performed in 2021, had a career spanning 10 decades, (1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and the 2020s).
