Wikipedia style

I have had to correct a bunch of the same errors again. Please note that Wikipedia style includes:

  • Section headings are capitalized in the same way you capitalize words in a sentence case, not the way you would in a title - see WP:HEAD.
  • Acronyms in Wikipedia style - and every other style manual you're likely to see - are written like this: "Three-Letter Acronym (TLA)", not "TLA (Three-Letter Acronym)" or some other style. See WP:ACRONYM.
  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a platform to promote someone. Articles must be factual and neutral. I've removed language that glorifies the subject, e.g., "spent much of his life serving the citizens of the United States", when "has served" works just as well. See WP:NPOV.
  • And articles must be about the subject of the article -- adding a bunch of pictures that are not of the article's subject in order to decorate the article is not Wikipedia style, so I've removed the gallery of military images. "Images must be relevant to the article that they appear in and be significantly and directly related to the article's topic." See WP:IMAGE RELEVANCE.
  • External links are not included in an article's text. If they are relevant, they can go in the "External links" section.
  • I've also fixed the sometimes random capitalization -- see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters and WP:JOBTITLES.

And finally, I've removed "currently" again. When used with the present tense of a verb, “currently” is almost always unnecessary since the present tense tells us what the current condition is of something. We can just let the present tense of the verb do its job without adding a redundant “currently”. Ground Zero | t 22:45, 14 March 2014 (UTC) reply

Notability

Bernie seems like a stand-up guy, but does not appear to meet the guidelines for notability, i.e., WP:SOLDIER. Ground Zero | t 02:56, 15 March 2014 (UTC) reply
