I have made some edits that I hope may balance some POV overweight in the previous version. Stammer 11:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I am adding some more edits based on J. Pope-Hennessy's article "Bernard Berenson" in "Dizionario Biografico degli Italiani", 34. Stammer 12:53, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Oughtn't there be something about his ties to Fascism? He lived in Italy throughout the Fascist regime, right through WW2. -- Al-Nofi 15:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Watch what you say, im his great great grandson. directly decended biologically. only call him a fascist if you can find a direct source. Pheifdog 21:17, 17 april 2007 (EST)
Hi, Pheifdog. Are you Berenson's great great? What a privilege and honor! He was and is a great man and a most marvelous writer - in that sense can never be 'outdated'. Of course he was not a fascist of any sort! Glad to see that clarified.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.229.139.42 ( talk) 23:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Berenson didn't have any kids as far as I know. If Pheifdog is Berenson's 'great great grandson' I don't think it's biological, it's more likely it's from Ray or Karin Berenson (later Karin Stephen), two children Mary Smith had when she married Berenson (kids with a bloke named Frank Costelloe). If there's a source, I'd be very interested though. Methulah ( talk) 23:00, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Please consider adding this external link to the entry on Berenson
I *think* that this essay may be the one intended, in which case citing it will fix the "citation needed" tag there. But someone with access to the full essay should check it first. Chiswick Chap ( talk) 18:38, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
I am not someone with knowledge or authority but reading The Personal Librarian, I think this page needs some information about Berenson’s relationship with Belle Greene.
