While the quote is interesting, the article says nothing of this vengeful bishop, leaving the naive reader without any indication what it means. (Plus, mention of the view of the man given by the bishop should be an integral part of the article, as it represents a significant influence on how the man is viewed.

The footnote contains a link to
Pelagius of Oviedo, and the section "Liber chronicorum" over at that article explains his attitude towards Bermudo. I will try to explain it here, though.
