What does the "receiver" title used in this article mean? Can someone who is knowledgeable about it add an article, and then link it into the receiver disambiguation page? -- Mikeblas 02:02, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
It seems more likely that Bloomfield married Harriott, daughter of Thomas Douglas of Grantham. Her brother, John Douglas MP (1774-1838), of Newmarket Palace, Cambs. is also sometimes said to be the son of John Douglas of Grantham, Lincs. and his wife Harriott née Lucke, but this is not the case. I am somewhat doubtful about a date of birth of 13 April 1768 in relation to his commissioning as a second lieutenant in the Royal Artillery in 1781, when he would have been just 13. My DoB for him is 13 April 1762 [1]. Shipsview ( talk) 13:09, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
