Is that regardless of the fact that I alone wrote this entire page, my user name does not show up in its history at all since it was broken off of the 2008 Summer Olympics bids page where I had done my 15 hours of work and moved here. That's kind of annoying. BillyTFried ( talk) 02:27, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I've read this secion on 08:39, 8 August 2008 (UTC).
There is a sentence containing:
"Official data during the Aug. 8 to Aug. 24 Olympic period indicates air quality was actually worse in 2006 and 2007 than in 2000 and 2001."
Basing from the sentence, this date would refer to August 2008. How could there be an official data for August 8 to August 24 when these dates haven't passed yet? The reference for this ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/20/AR2008042002044_pf.html) shows that the news clip was posted on Monday, April 21, 2008. There is clearly something is wrong with this info. Chuggernaut ( talk) 08:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
I sent several links to the picture of the "Tank Man" to my friend who was visiting in China and staying at his grandparents' place (in Wuhan, Hubei), and he reported that he could see the picture from every link. Therefore, I think that bit about the Tiananmen Square Protests still being censored is wrong, and was written based on an assumption. Can anybody confirm this? 99.224.97.45 ( talk) 02:04, 16 August 2008 (UTC) In addition, in my experience, most Chinese people already know about the June 4th incident. They aren't clear on the full details, but most know the reason behind it and the general action that occurred (which seemed pretty accurate to me). I do not see why the Chinese government would not uncensor information about such a controversial incident that was needlessly censored during this "round of uncensoring". 99.224.97.45 ( talk) 04:02, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Where is the bidding part of the olympic bid? ie the vote tallies for each candidate cities? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.92.120.5 ( talk) 19:25, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
