I have removed the following paragraph from the article (and its associated image):
Bebington also has a claim to fame in that St. Andrews church yard features the lamp-post that was supposedly the real-life inspiration for the lamp-post in C. S. Lewis's The Chronicles Of Narnia.
This unverified statement was added by an anonymous IP in May 2006 and has been tagged since December 2007. Since then, no citation has been forthcoming, with only the lamppost image added a few weeks later. If anyone can provide any reliable sources to verify this statement then please restore it to the article. Thanks. Snowy 1973 ( talk) 12:44, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
The article needs to have greater clarity over the different definitions of Bebington that exist. The former municipal borough covered a much wider area - see the large map in the article on Civil parishes in Merseyside - than merely Higher and Lower Bebington, for example. It is not "nonsense" to say that places like Port Sunlight, New Ferry and Spital are part of Bebington - historically, they certainly were. Ghmyrtle ( talk) 22:59, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
