Are still married so can this this be reflected to change that on the family tree? Arjoccolenty ( talk) 00:31, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Look, in the Beale and Branning family pages it rightly includes Whitney Dean as a member seeing as she was adopted by Bianca. It includes Jay Brown, in the Mitchell family page (and on the family tree) because he was fostered by Billy and changed his name to Mitchell. Why on earth are Simon and Steven not included in the Beale family page. Simon always considered himself to be a Beale until it was revealed that Brian Wicks is probably his father, not Pete or Kenny. But he was adopted by Pete, he was seen as Beale even during Lou's funeral. Steven Beale was actually adopted by Ian, why isn't he included? I think we have some very bizarre people editing pages, who clearly have not watched the show or are deeply inconsistent. By the way, Beale's Plaice was actually Peter's Plaice when Cindy kidnapped Steven and Peter. Kathy opened the new fish shop and they offered free fish and chips and alcohol to people who came. Watch it, if you are silly enough to change a vitally important and accurate fact.-- 86.183.195.212 ( talk) 18:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Who is and where does Dolly Beale fit into the Beale family tree? I haven't heard her mentioned in any episodes. Is she real or was she just invented in the back of someone's head? Kenneth Beale was mentioned as Albert's father in Civvy Street, but there was no mention then of Dolly. When was she mentioned? And who by? - Clements1997.
Cindy does not have a right to be included in the family tree as Ian's stepdaughter since her Ian had divorced her mum by the time she was born and Ian was no longer married to her so he had no rights over her as a step father, Ian is now married to jane so any stepdad/stepdaughter link is no longer there, He has no biological link with her unlike Steven who Ian was stepdad to whilst being married to his mum Cindy and Ian had accepted him as his own son and Steven grew up calling him dad. plus Cindy grew up with gina who became and is still her legal guardian. It is why Ian regularly contacted her when he didn't want Cindy around as she is the guardian and is responsible for Cindy and not Ian himself. Crystal30003 ( talk) 08:36, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Yes that is because babe is the sister of Shirley's mum who is also micks grandma. Whereas cindy williams has no link whatsoever as a beale apart from having lucy and peter as half siblings. Any links with cindy is with her mums family and fathers family. Crystal30003 ( talk) 09:37, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Then where is steven beale? Considering ian was actually his stepfather unlike cindy. Crystal30003 ( talk) 15:57, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
I don't think the characters from the novels should be included or considered canon. Norma Beale was mentioned more than once in the 80s and was even referenced, though not by name, in 2006 when Pauline married Joe. Dora however comes from the novels and has never been mentioned in the show or in Civvy Street. Surely Wikipedia should go with the name actually used on the show and not one in a debatably non-canon novel? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.185.98.228 ( talk) 15:45, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
This section is way too long and has just got longer. The section should be removed completely and in it's place should be a fully-sourced development seciton. See Slater family (EastEnders) for a perfect example. — 🌼📽️Anemone Projectors💬 00:12, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
In episode 163 (9 September 1986) Arthur mentions Pauline's cousin, Roger, whose daughter is Tina. I thought I'd mention it here because we wouldn't know if they are on Lou's side or Albert's. — 🌼📽️Anemone Projectors💬 12:13, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
