The result of the move request was: moved. I find consensus here for a move especially given that the two oppose like comments have both been answered without the original opposer commenting further. Dpmuk ( talk) 01:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Why is this section necessary? I don't see the Iphone 4 article having a section listing similar products. Seems like hidden advertisements for the competitors. If anything, those products should be listed in the "See Also" section. AadaamS ( talk) 13:04, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

the table claims the begalbone black has a powervr SGX530 like the other boards. The diagram at http://www.ti.com/general/docs/datasheetdiagram.tsp?genericPartNumber=AM3358&diagramId=43666 and the datasheet only say it has a "POWERVR SGX™ Graphics Accelerator subsystem". I found a few posts on the internet stating it has a powervr SGX530 but nothing I'd consider a reliable source. Plugwash ( talk) 10:53, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
I would like to add some new information about the new (currently yet to be released) BeagleBoard-X15. There is a substantial amount of confirmed specifications and I have booted a working pre-release board. Just a thought, might get around to it soon. Grokjtrip 17:28, 03 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on

It would be nice to add a section on the BeagleBone AI:
It uses a more powerful processor, and is pin-header compatible to the BeagleBone Black.
It is geared toward automotive vision (supporting car assistant systems with cameras and such), and machine learning software.
To honestly mention disadvantages as well, the BeagleBone AI needs significantly more power and requires an additional fan for any modestly computing-intensive task (such as compiling a kernel). That might or might not improve with future system software releases.
What is also very interesting is the Programmable Real-time Unit (PRU or PRU-ICSS) of the BeagleBone CPUs. These allow to meet "hard" real-time demands, as are typical for industrial and robotic systems, and also allow to implement many protocols like CAN or RS485 in software, which previously would have required dedicated hardware.
Such a chip makes it possible to meet safety-critical real-time demands within a general-purpose system such as Linux. I believe this type of chip merits an own Article.
