Then why those 2 people not excuted?

There is no explaination that why those 2 people are not excuted at last. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.159.75 ( talk) 14:46, 12 September 2008 (UTC) reply

Ralph Baze and Thomas Bowling are still on death row in Kentucky. Death row inmates must complete their appeals before an execution date can be set. Typically it can take around a decade from conviction to execution. -- Jatkins ( talk - contribs) 13:40, 4 September 2009 (UTC) reply

Lethal injection cocktail

My understanding is that the case isn't about whether lethal injection per se is unconstitutional, but whether the specific lethal injection cocktail prescribed by Kentucky law (and the laws of most states) is unconstitutional, correct? CopaceticThought ( talk) 05:28, 2 April 2008 (UTC) reply

I believe so. The justices queried the petitioners' attorney(s) on whether a different cocktail could be used. The Court's conservative wing were frustrated that no alternative had been suggested. -- Jatkins ( talk - contribs) 13:41, 4 September 2009 (UTC) reply
