Can anyone give a location for these islands? Are they also called Zhongpengdao? Is it the islands at 23.300N,117.300E? They seem to be the only ones that fit the description. Anybody know?

Yes, my Guangdong Provincial Atlas labels the island chain at this location as Nanpeng Liedao (
南澎列岛; Nanpeng Archipelago). The biggest one (less than a kilometer long, and even less across) is labeled in that atlas as Zhong Peng Dao (中澎岛, same
as on Google Maps), and the four smaller ones, Ding Peng Dao 顶澎顶, Nan Peng Dao 南澎列岛, Qin Peng Dao 芹澎岛、and Chi Zi Yu 赤仔屿. These small islands appear to be part of
Nan'ao County (the main part of which is the much bigger Nan'ao Island some 30 km to the northwest). --
