I think that we have to change the "Macedonian victory" into "Greek" as Macedon was part of Greece, Macedonians were basically Greeks. There were not only Macedonians against Persian empire but also other Greeks. A. Katechis Mpourtoulis ( talk) 07:29, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

What are the correct co-ordinates for the battlefield?
The ones currently given in the article put it south of the river & near the center of Khujand; that cannot be right. The map in the article shows it north of the river (correct, since the fight happened mostly after Alexander crossed) & the text says "northwest of Khujand".
For voy:On the trail of Alexander the Great I used other co-ordinates, based on guesswork. Does anyone have something better? Pashley ( talk) 09:38, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
What source mentions the name of the Saka commander involved? And what source states that Alexander has won this battle? HiddenRealHistory19 ( talk) 02:16, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
What source is stated for the amount of the armies in numbers? HiddenRealHistory19 ( talk) 02:16, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
Alp Ërin mentions this event as a defeat for Alexander the Great in his work the Bolbol Uqus in the part "AT-ÖG". Alexander was greatly respected by the Turkish Commonwealth and its Qagan and they gave him a heavenly name because Alexander did not pour innocent blood in conquest and though he was also in service of God. Until Alexander occupied Samarkand and slaughtered it's people Alp Ërin was send to Samarkand and Alexander offered a kind of apology and ending it with neutral relations. Until Alexander continued his conquest Alp Ërin like he mentions in the Bolbol Uqus "went on attack" and defeated Alexander his army and Alexander fleeing as result. I will provide much more in depth information after I create the page for Alp Ërin for now I think it's greatly justified to edit the result of this battle as "See aftermath". HiddenRealHistory19 ( talk) 02:25, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
Also the map used in "the battle" is from no proper source aswell. Aside from that no source has been provided at all I did some reverse image searching a found out its from an unsourced Quora article.
See "After the Battle of the Jaxartes River, did Alexander the Great mount some kind of "follow-up operations" against the nomads of the steppes?" HiddenRealHistory19 ( talk) 02:44, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
